First week of school

We have enjoyed getting to know one another this first week of school. We are already seeing many areas of focus for the children. 

Introducing Oreo and Blue!

This week we voted on names for our gerbils. We took all of the suggestions the children gave us at Meet the Teacher last week and let the child cast their vote for which names they liked the best.

They have been a very big topic of conversation this week. The children have been asking questions like: What do they eat? When do they sleep? We look forward to researching more about what they do and how to take care of them.

Restaurant Coming Soon!

The kitchen has become a popular place for the children to interact with one another. We will be digging deeper into what a restaurant needs, how it works and the people involved.

Constructing

As we explore all of the materials our classroom has to offer we are noticing the children constructing in many ways. We will continue to share our ideas as we investigate further this concept.
