We continue
digging out weeds in order to do a cover crop planting next week. Growing winter rye will give us the opportunity to garden all winter. And, it puts nutrients back into the soil in the Spring.
Many of us are in search of worm holes. The children discussed the benefits of worms
in our soil, including air and rain getting to the roots.
The children harvested many small carrots,
mostly greens, to feed to Genie, the rabbit next door.
